Had a great move of God in CG just now, felt as if Holy Spirit took over my preaching as soon as i started till the very end!

Its definitely not my own strength but truly His Spirit!

Well, i know its time to trust God again. So much pains and disappointments

- Clinging on to His promise! I need His grace!!!

Okay, shall try to blog again! Need to improve my writing skills anyway. I have approximately 13 months before entering into the corporate world, gotta sharpen my written communications!

As usua,l if one were to look back on life, its always ups and downs. But i just wanna take this time to be thankful for all the breakthrus i had in the last few months!!

1) Got SIM Scholarship worth $13,000 to finance my fees!
2) Got selected to be one of the 18 All-Rounder Students of SIM
3) CG multiplied N355 * N468!
4) Had many great exposures in SOT!
5) iCare Vice President
6) Business running smooth (though still slow!)

Of course, with some fair share of disappointments and very difficult moments.

BUT, if I were to sum up the entire past half year of my life in ONE sentence it would be
"I realised that God REALLY REALLY loves me!"

So cheer up!! Rejoice!!

People you respect will somehow one day disappoint you. Its only human..

Almost rose up in judgment when i got reminded:

All of us, every single one are here ONLY by His grace.

All of us are still sinful & 'wretched' in some ways. - So why judge? Trust His justice!

Communion is so powerful yet we sometimes treat it as "common"

We need the Blood... Every single day!

I am here to post the happenings for my long awaited holiday. The last time i travelled was with the army, its so much more at ease now...

Caught a cold almost immediately after touching down to Hong Kong.

Man! its cold here... Still suffering now..

Reached my brother's residential building and it looked totally like a 5-Star hotel lobby!





Had lunch at Wang Jiao, at this particular Yun Nan Restaurant

 

Nothing special about the food, but the main highlight:

"Deep fried BEE PUPAE!"




 

Overcame the Fear Factor to try the dish. 'Taste like fish's eggs or something like that...

 

Above: Curry fishballs, which seem famous with the Hong Kong people, but it taste quite HORRIBLE to me!

Felt really blessed, finally can have a quality reunion with my bro after so long of  busyness and separation. Felt refreshed by the togetherness of the family also!

How to keep fit in 'tough times'?!

Had a YTSS 2002 4E7 gathering yesterday evening @ Sakura. Everyone was like "Wow! Time flies!"  (I am getting old man!)

Every single one in the gathering are right now pursuing their degrees be it part time or full time. Many of the girls are already in their Year 4 in University!

Forgotten some names and faces but it doesn't take long to have the flash back coming back. Almost forgotten i am the really quiet and low profile type in Sec Sch. Things does change over the years man.

Nice feeling, though only 25% of the class turned up and my closest cliques weren't there!

Our dearest form teacher Mr Lee Siak Chong, has aged quite abit, but still as nice and polite as ever. I finally mustered the courage to ask for his forgiveness for frequently sleeping in his Biology class!








 
The super smart twins. Glad to know that they are now in CHC! And serving actively as CGCs.




Went for a movie after the gathering - Bedtime Stories.

Contrary to the name of the movie, its not childish at all! But was in fact interesting, anticipating and lots of learning points.

It tells of how the bedtime stories that are told and imagined by the main character Adam Sandler actually came true in reality. Symbolising the power of visualisation and confession! Nice!

Its a funny timing that i am blogging right now, 430am in the morning. Counted down at my favourite Balaclavia, had nice movies, friends, CG and family time to accompany thruout the day

2008 has been the most unique year of my life so far. Never in my life had i faced so much challenges, heartbreaks and tears, and never in my life i had thoughts of giving up everything as rampant as 2008. YET it was also the year that i grew and learnt the most. All things shall indeed work together for good!

My greatest testimony is probably: "I am still here!"



2009 - It shall be a year of reaping! Every seeds and sacrifices i have sown shall come to bear fruit!

So many things i am believing God for in 2009:
- CG to multiply!
- Business to breakthrough
- A 4.0 GPA
- Family to be saved
- Driving license (finally)

Brian challenged me to go for a bi-athlon this coming March. 1.5km swim and 10km run. Man! i have never been a good swimmer. Still hesitant on whether to 'take the challenge' anot... Haha

I just could not describe the 'burst' inside of me as X'mas approaches.

Its unlike other years where i will be stressed out about ministry, friends, salvation, visitations etc etc etc. I believe the amount of work this year got to be the same if not more, but the most important thing is to catch & celebrate the JOY of this season - the season of GIVING, the time of RECONCILIATION between God & man!

2009 is also coming... I wanna confess its going to be a year of reaping! a year of fruitfulness, the best year yet!

Went for iCare's Project Smile on Tuesday. Man! Its so interesting!

Truly the world today is getting colder n colder .Though physically we are closer, but connection wise, we are miles apart. A great joy it is to bring on a smile in people's faces in the concrete campus of SIM.


 

Yi Jun sacrificed himself (inside the bear is a sauna!) to play the bear that made every single one smile (especially for girls) For guys, the first reaction is to 'siam' away from it. Its ego i guess, but don't we all have a childhood of soft toys too? Haha

Man oh man!!!

Finally the appreciation is over... all the changes, preparation and intensity, i can have a peaceful rest right now. Thanks for all the guys who've helped in one way or another! :)

Looking forward to so many things ahead that i long to do.. Spa, sun-tanning, movies, jogging, shopping (x'mas is here!)

Failed my driving because of the knocked down pole... Sadded...

Nevertheless, i still wanna be a good finisher in 2008!

Two weeks flew past jus like tt without me even touching this blog...

Jus recovered froma sickness that lasted for 2 weeks

Nevertheless, i thank God i made it thru 42.195km and back in one piece!
























I guess the best part is the T-Shirt... People can go for the race just for the T-shirt, myself including... This may be something that only guys will do... (i guess) perhaps its for the sense of achievement that follows by owning the shirt, or because that we have scaled a new mountain? Whatever it is, its so much to learn from a marathon...

1. not to give up, keep walking, every step brings you closer to your victory
2. not to take shortcuts, though it may be tempting
3. run your own race, there's no need to compete with others

Its 4 hrs after the steamboat... and the feeling of "fullness" still hadn't gone away... But well, had a great time fellowshipping over steamboat at Turf City! Seeing my CG helped me to let go of the stress of the day to just relax and tuck in...

Stanchart marathon is only 3 wks away! I seem to be sooooo behind time now... But its okay, just do it! I wanna wear the finisher T soon!

Had a conversation with Rina yest, and i was so inspired by what happened during her mission trip to Batam...

She told me how she had fasted for 2 days and in a meeting that follows, she laid hands on a lady and the lady actually FLEW a few metres under the power... I mean FLEW!! What we read in Benny Hinn's book is actually a reality to ppl around us! To think a quiet behind the scenes person like her, who faithfully does admin work for CCA could have the anointing like tt! Truly signs and wonders follow those who goes to the ends of the earth for Him... Batam not just for seafood anymore!

Oh! There's so much more i have yet to experience man... Haha

Another long day past, with a surprise return of my bro to S'pore! Sadly, its a tight weekend ahead, but somehow gonna squeeze out some time for him...

Today's the official launch for i-Care! The first CCA i had after secondary school days... Our aim: To bring about an impact in our society. Anyway, i shall not go into that, too much details... A simple dinner and briefing at Mind Cafe (didn''t know their mango float is sooo good!)

Tertairy education, especially university, and especially SIM, has been dull and characterised by a lack of companionship and friendship. People just arrive in school right b4 lectures and head off to their own separate agendas right after lectures. Being in i-Care has been such an eye-opener so far getting to meet different people from different courses and unis.

Now till Sunday, busy busy busy... (at least a nice and warm steamboat tmr!) I long for a real nice & long rest next Mon and Tue and ready for Asia Conference from Wed!!!

YESH! Exams are over... though my balanced sheet is outta balance, i finally am in 'holiday'

This is my first holiday in the last two years! Never had a real holiday since i entered army.. Events and circumstances and everything was like back-to-back-to-back-to-back.....

God does have a sense of humor... Half an hour after my last paper, i checked my SMS inbox:

"We have been assigned to be in charge of _____ planning." i was thinking to have a well deserved MEGA 12 hr sleep! (or at least deserve a MEGA Mac!) Engine needs to be restarted again and here comes busyness..

Looking back,

6 of them with heavy downpour
Engine still stalls once in a while
Driving test in about 4 weeks' time

I wanna rent a car this X'Mas!!!

As a young christian, i often have this acronym as my principle:
F.A.I.T.H = Forsaking All I Trust Him!

Looking back, i marveled at the kind of child like faith that i had at the age of 18.. A total trust in God for EVERY SINGLE area of my life

As we grow, things start to get complicated, and we tend to lose the total trust and simple faith we had.

Just felt reminded today that in the presence of God, there is no "CGL" or "Leadership" or "Elder" tag. Its simply being a child tagging at the hands of the Father


"God, help me to trust You with a simple faith again!"

I am now about 10 hours away to arise and build.. Its time to trust God once again with my finances. I believe every good thing i have experienced so far is only a fraction of what's installed for me! Let arise and Build!

Anyway, browsing through a number of blogs, the "I love Physics", "I love Accounting" fever is spreading far and wide. Hope it work for you guys!

Oh yes! one paper down, two to go... Not that fantastic paper today, but hopefully can still scrap thru an A or a B

Been reflecting the past many days and looking around me, so many people are undergoing some struggles, tough times, impossible situations. Guys, i totally understand how u guys feel... Will keep u guys in prayer

Seems like things are happening in my life, seems like the whole world is tumbling down on me.. Just as i heard so many people mentioning they want to give up, I felt the same way too.. Be it insomnia, exams stress, hopelessness, brokenness etcetc... It seems to be a DAILY struggle just to keep moving on. Thrice weekly or more temptation to throw in the towel... I am honestly feeling very weary fighting... God!!! give me strength to carry on!

Going through it makes me feel more for people and understand what they are going thru...
I know how precious it is to have someone
 
who would listen
who would support
who would pray with u

I thank God for friends like Kee Liang, Eugene and Mr "ChanChan"... Thks for all the encouragments and support!

Looking ahead, i know i have many battles to fight... Somethings i have spent tonnes of efforts and dedication building seems to all tumble and its time to restart building again... So many things to juggle... family, ministry, exams, cca, business, friendships, marathon trging... its time to rebuild again


For these few days, my best friends are Economics and Accounting... The same confession goes (1st person):
